Hi everyone! I’m Isabel Fry, founder & director of Breathe Retreats & Wellness.
I am a Yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner & I organize Wellness Retreats).
My passion is to bring women together, to help them gather and grow, in the firm belief that when women gather, magical things happen.
Q. Tell us more about you! We’d love to know about your business today and the story of how you got there.
A. I moved to Canada 7 years ago, I had a business back in Mexico and a college degree in Marketing so I knew I wanted to create a business here as well. I got invited to a Christian Retreat and it was absolutely blissful and I’m so grateful for that. But I knew religious retreats aren’t for everyone. I felt that ALL women needed to take time off as well and that is how all started. I have been practicing Yoga for over 20 years and I knew I wanted to bring this into my project as well. I wanted to hold space for women, space to breathe and reconnect with themselves
Q. Let’s dive more into the specifics of your business. What products/services do you offer? What do you do for your clients that sets you apart?
A. I teach different Yoga classes in Edmonton, some at Highlands Yoga Room, I work for Kepler Academy bringing the kids Yoga as well. I have a Moon Magic Monthly Membership, where we gather online twice a month to follow the cycles of the moon. I organize Women’s Healing Circles, Retreats, both, for women & corporate retreats as well. I have also created an online workshop for Womxn to elevate them and build up the tools they need to bring more joy and more Wellness into their lives. It’s called Radical Self Acceptance Workshop. I am also a Reiki practitioner and I offer healing sessions as well as Sound Baths.
Q. What inspired or influenced you to create your business?
A. Yoga, of course, the teachings of kindness, softness, and gratitude. The concept that we are all connected and we need to elevate and support one another
Q. What are you most proud of in your work?
A.I’m proud of what I do each day, the moment I physically see someone release their shoulders with their exhale and soften, my heart bursts!
Q. What is one challenge you’ve overcome as a business owner, and what did you learn from it that you can share with others?
A. I think I’m still learning so much about accounting, I was so lost! But I’m slowly making progress. That has been my biggest challenge. As far as advice, get a really good accountant, mine is a total rockstar!
Q. What is your favorite part of what you do?
A. Same as what I’m most proud of I think, the moment I see someone melting onto a pose or onto their Mat, I know then that my job is done!
Q. What is one thing you do to set yourself up for success every week?
A. Planning, planning, planning… have a good sit down and plan everything that needs to be done, write down (I’m old school) on my schedule where I need to be and what I need to do and when, makes life easier for sure!
Q. What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
A. Always stay humble and kind. No matter where life takes you.
Q. Where can people find you to learn more? (Leave your email, website, social media handles, etc.!)

A passion project of mine is to help others, not just business owners but anyone wanting to do or have more in this life, achieve their biggest dreams and goals. Over the past decade, I have developed some great goal-setting worksheets.
These worksheets will give you the tools you need to get a good start in the direction you want to go and how to get there. They will help you to feel less overwhelmed and give you some tools to use when you are feeling like you have a little too much on your mind.
